PART 1
Preperation Information
Please refer to our conversations or your invoice for confirmation of your shoot time and location. If your session is on location somewhere then i will have sent you a drop pin (if it wasn't a well known location), and when chasing fall color then locations can be switched up or determined last minute.
Remember to send me pictures of your outfits or inspiration photos from my galleries. I love to get a feel for what you want and coordinate colors with locations.
If you have a session with your horse, please come with them bathed, groomed and ready to be photographed. Do not worry about small imperfections, bite marks or scars. I will touch up all of those during the editing process per your preferences (within reason :)
PART 2
The process and whats included with your sitting fee
A general outline is... I will deliver images within 1 week of our shoot day, then I have alotted 1 week for you to select favorites, then again i have 1 week to edit the favorites and back to you for one final week to spend your print credit and take advantage of digital file options.
After we shoot and I have done the first round of editing I will upload all of your images to a private online gallery. (please see part 4 below on how to use the software on the website to keep track of and share your favorites selection with me). Once delivered you have the option to choose favorites for me to do a 5 star edit on. This is where i do a deep dive and remove hairs across the face, remove acne (if desired), remove distracting objects and any other (within reason) special requests. If some of those requests require a significant time commitment to perform over whats included with your sitting then i will communicate additional pricing options. I can do anything you want as long as your still recognizable as you :)
I deliver alot of pictures and cull on the lighter side for three reasons... I like my clients to have options for "their" preference of facial expressions and posing. I need to leave extra photos in the group shots for families so I have the option and material to do face transplants if needed. So if you see a picture you love but not everyone is smiling or has eyes open then keep that in mind and let me know. This is a wonderful option with kids to guarantee you get that perfect photo with everyone smiling. And third because "more is better is hard wired into my psyche for reasons I dont understand nor try to anymore.
Your session includes prints of the same value as the sitting fee you paid. For example if you paid $595 for a session then you will receive $595 in prints. Print credits cap out at $800 per session. Sample print and file pricing is listed below (file=digital image with print release). Print credits are for loose prints only.
*Wall Art ready to hang canvas, metal and framed prints are dramatically discounted for Living Shasta Photography clients. A video call will be scheduled so i can show you in real time all the wall art options like matting and colors of mats, canvas depths and styles of wrap options and metal finish. If you purchase the entire digital download gallery buyout on your session then wall art is available to you at my wholesale pricing plus 40% handling.
Your prints come in the form of a code that you use in your gallery at checkout (no minimum order) and are mailed directly to you. I am also happy to place the order for you. Half and full day rates do not include prints.
High resolution digital downloads with social media and print release are sold separately with significant price breaks for larger quantities, see pricing info below. If you are interested in a copyright purchase on images (to do your own editing on them or want raw files) please inquire verbally as it is additional. Doing your own printing comes in very handy for graduation announcements, holiday cards and gifting up to 8x10s to family. If you want large prints or wall art then those can be ordered through me. Digitals are not built into the shopping cart so it is best to let me know which ones you want and i will invoice separately and then put them in a separate gallery for download. Unless you do the entire gallery deal then I open up all images for download in both galleries.
Images will initially be delivered via a private link gallery with copyright protection watermark overlay as seen in examples here... All downloads and print orders include only a very small makers mark of KA in the bottom corner. Please for the love of beautiful long lasting imagery and my artist heart... download images properly! When you screenshot it significantly lowers the quality and your photographer crys when she goes to sleep. Please dont crop images either, if you need one square then let me know and i am happy to create the right size for you. And lastly, do not edit the photos nor remove watermark or makers mark. If you would like to have those editing rights then please inquire with me on the option to purchase full copyright to my art. Accessing Photos and Favorites
The Process- after first gallery link has been delivered:
My web service has discontinued updates on my app and I am currently working on a new website to bring that option back. Although the app is still working for some people (its a mystery who is chosen lol)
Accessing Photos ia currently only available through a desktop pc or laptop browser. Follow the link in the welcome email to view your photos, just remember to create an account first (found in the website menu so that when you select your favorites they will be saved and tracked properly for me to access).
When choosing favorites I suggest doing an initial generous run through and then at the top left of the screen select the favorites drop down to sort through and kick some out if you have too many. When you are done choosing favorites then select "share with photographer", typically up to 15-20 images for every hour we shoot but this is not a hard rule, also depends on how much work you want done to them. If its hardly anything then more favorites can be selected, if its heavier editing then less favorites need to be chosen. Talk to me and we can figure that out together. I accept sharing favorites only through the website software provided, unless its only a couple then texting image screenshots with name included is ok. If you want or need any assistance at all please reach out and i am happy to help.
Spend your print credit! Once you choose favorites i will re-upload the final 5 star edits into your gallery to replace originals as well as into a second gallery called 5 star images and then I will create your print credit code. Your print credit code is the same as your client access and is your first initial followed by your last name and the four digit year we took photos, all lower case and no spaces. All of the loose print size options listed above can be found in the gallery shopping cart which is where you will place your order. There is no minimum order so if you just want to receive your included prints and nothing more that is ok. After filling up your shopping cart just punch in your credit discount code when it asks for it. You will have to put in your credit card for the $4-6 shipping. There is no minimum order requirement. Print credits are valid for one week from 5 star gallery delivery and Images stay accessible for 2 weeks, after that it is a $50 fee to re access a gallery from archives. I am also happy to order your prints for you if that is easier, just let me know. Wall art like framed, canvas or metal is not offered in the shopping cart and can be ordered by video call appointment so that i can show you all the size, color and mounting options. If you purchase the entire digital download gallery buyout on your session then wall art is available to you at my wholesale pricing plus 20% handling.
Downloading purchased digitals with social media and print release. The best way to download is with a computer. First refresh the browser and then click on the word select at the top, then click on select all and then download and it will ask you to put in your email. After a short time the software will send you an email with a zipped file that you can download just once to your pc and then double click to open. Be aware that the additional 5 star edits have the same name as the original files so if you download the original gallery plus the 5 star edit gallery then save in two separate folders because they have potential to overwrite each other.
